You do not need a referral to attend as a private client. However, a referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP are required if you wish to access Medicare-funded psychological treatment.

A Mental Health Treatment Plan is prepared by your GP and may allow eligible clients to access Medicare-funded sessions with a psychologist. Your GP can discuss whether a plan is appropriate for you and explain the referral process.

The first appointment gives us an opportunity to discuss the difficulties you are experiencing, your relevant history, and what you would like help with. I will ask some questions to better understand your circumstances, and we will begin identifying suitable goals and a possible direction for therapy.

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may incur the full consultation fee.

No. I provide psychological services for adults aged 18 years and over.

My practice primarily provides face-to-face appointments. Telehealth may be available in particular circumstances, such as for clients living in rural areas or when unexpected difficulties prevent attendance. Please contact me to discuss whether telehealth would be suitable.

Sessions are 50 minutes long with 10 minutes assigned for administration.
